Stuart Pearce an ambassador for Pitching In

West Ham’s  Stuart Pearce has become the official ambassador for the Pitching In project operated by the Entain Foundation.

This project will help lower league football clubs across England and Wales to combat the financial losses over the last two years due to the previous season being called off. Funding will also help support community projects run by the clubs involved.

Psycho is seen as a magic signing by Entain to fill ambassadorial role due to his own experience of  playing lower league football.

His stellar career in the basement of the English footballing pyramid. He played for non-league club Wealdstone FC for five years before making his big-time move to Coventry City. Pearce’s experience playing non-league football will give him valuable insight into the benefits of the Pitching In initiative.

Entain is a global gambling, gaming and entertainment group with companies operating in over 25 countries. They own several well-known bookmakers as well as a number of reputable online casinos offering table games, slots and the latest live casino game listings.

Entain also runs the Entain Foundation, which is responsible for promoting responsible gambling, increasing education and an array of initiatives. They’re also operating the Pitching In project.

Pitching In is a project funded through the Entain Foundation designed to support grassroots sport, which is proving even more worthwhile after considering the dire state of lower level  financing due to the events in the last couple years. The project boasts multi-million-pound funding for worthy  causes.

Pitching In has begun with a partnership with the Isthmian League and the Northern and Southern Premier Leagues. These three leagues are collectively known as the Trident Leagues and represent the seventh and eighth tiers of English football. They are made up of 240 clubs and 15,000 players throughout England and Wales.

The financial support from the Pitching In project will be used to support these clubs further down the pyramid with facilities and equipment. It may also be used to help them deliver community grassroots projects in their region.

Entain has even launched a colleague system where UK-based staff can volunteer for their local Trident League clubs to help provide community events.

It might not have made the yellow ticker on Sky Sports News , but the ex-England and Hammers hard man has taken up the role of official Pitching In ambassador. Stuart Pearce will become the official face of the project and is delighted to be able to play a part in helping lower league football clubs. He identified the financial problems facing many non- league clubs right now and stated how Entain’s funding can make a big difference.
