David Sullivan is starting a hunt for an Andy Carroll replacement among the ranks of out of contract strikers but is reeling at the new blow to the club’s record signing.
Chairman Sullivan once admitted that had he known the problems the signing could bring he may never have moved for the former Newcastle and Liverpool star.
But it seems the big man has won him over and he admitted: “He is a fantastic player who has proven to us just how important he is since he has come back into the team and we’ll support him.”
David Gold meanwhile sent his heartfelt sympathies to the player declaring: “The knee injury is completely new – the other two have been sorted. He’s as brave as a lion and will be back.”
The Hammers are now even more frustrated at their failure to land Emmanuel Adebayor but Sullivan and manager are continuing their search with the chairman admitting: “We are looking at out of contract options.”
We don’t need another big man we need another quick intelligent forward who will work well with Valencia and Sakho,
We have Cole if we really have to go down that road or push Kouyate up for the last 20 if that’s the way to go he has as much abillity as Carroll or Cole,
There is no mention of the need to bring in another big man,but agreed we do need another forward. However had it not been the childish behavior of a certain Daniel Levy we would have already had one.Dirty Spurs tactics run right up to their nursery(boardroom). C.O.Y.I.
