Stuttgart midfielder not joining West Ham

Reports from Argentina that West Ham could sign Stuttgart defensive midfielder Santiago Ascacibar today have no basis Claret and Hugh have been told. Transfer rumours on the Argentina player have been building all week with a suggestion that former Hammer Thomas Hitzlsperger now sporting director at VfB Stuttgart was playing a major role in making the transfer happen.

A senior West Ham club insider has rejected the report saying “The Stuttgart player will NOT be joining”

FC Basel striker Albian Ajeti is expected to sign for West Ham later today before the transfer window shuts at 5 pm.

A number of loan departures are also expected today with Grady Diangana expected to join Derby or West Brom Albion.

Nathan Holland could also choose a loan club today with Bolton said to be interested.

We should find out which Dutch club is taking Dan Kemp on loan for the season.

Conor Coventry has also been linked to a possible loan move to Coventry none the less.

  1. So the two positions urgently needed even the blind can tell you left back and centre mid defender are not happening. Strange tactics but at least we will score plenty even if shipping tons again leaving diop covering for left back as well as centre back for another season hopefully staying fit and rocky hopefully getting back to his form from last season with diop before injury . Also hopefully rice stays injury free as for sure Sanchez isn’t capable of playing without being a past it disaster. Imo

  2. I don’t understand why anyone would loan players to Bolton? They have no money. Their staff went weeks without being paid and it could happen again. If Nathan Holland is to gain some valuable first team experience it should not be at a basket case club like Bolton. Derby or WBA would be much better bets

  3. Cardoso looks an excellent left back as well as his main roll at centre back. Also Johnson can play both sides. Must agree on the CDM however. Wilshere is great on the ball but tackling is not his forte. Sanchez is not up to Prem league standard and much as i love Noble i think his years are catching up with him.

  4. See for me this is a shame. We have 23 squad positions filled (not including Cordoso, Rice and Johnson) we have 6 home grown players… so we should aim for this guy to make it 24 squad players and then get in a homegrown to fill the 25th squad place.

  5. Only a maximum of 17 players can be in the squad. The remaining 2 places must be home grown or be left vacant.
