Exclusive: DS says some should “eat their words”

|

sullivan_5535cDavid Sullivan’s appraisal of yesterday’s game is typically short and to the point:”The main thing is we are still in the draw – simple!

Th chairman is today still busily working on trying to ensure that Emanuelle Emineke’s move from Fenerbahce is completed before the transfer deadline.

Manager Slaven Bilic revealed last night that he had been able to speak with the owners but that it was a difficult one to call. However, ClaretandHugh can reveal that DS was still hard a work on the deal this Sunday morning.

However, he was clearly relieved at another big Anfield result despite the disruption to the team plans via injuries in the first 20 minutes.

He said: Yes, being in the draw is of course the most important thing of all but two impact injuries in the first 20 minutes is very bad luck.”

However, he was deeply impressed with the heroic stopper Darren Randolph and added: “People who doubted the back up keeper at the start of the season should eat their words!”
