Sullivan: ‘We have not given up on Alex Song’

|
alex-song-west-ham (1)I can assure you we have not given up on Alex Song yet,” says Joint-Chairman David Sullivan to the club’s official website WHUFC.com

“Before Christmas Alex was outstanding and if we believe we can get him back to that sort of form and maybe with a new manager we can, we would very much like Alex to come.”

“We are very thin on the ground with midfielders. You do get injuries and you need back-up. We have got Europe and other games that we want to win.”

“There was not enough competition for places last season and this year we don’t want the same again. If the players have a bad game they will have to fight for their position back.”

Be mad not to sign him on the cheap, does exactly what he says on the tin, yes he gave balls away and miss placed passes but at least it was going FORWARD and trying to create play. Can’t expect Alex song to have Kevin Nolan infront of him and still be decent, look what he did when downing was being played the ball

I like this news, Song is a really good player, under Bilic he would be a different player, I’m sure about it.

As long as they’re all part of the joint master plan and all motivated to play their best, they’re all welcome Song,Cabaye,Jenks,Messi,Uncle Tom Cobley and all. Don’t think we’ll get all of them apparently Barca are after Cobley lol

The boy Poyet didn’t get a proper chance last season despite showing some good form early on. Hopefully Slav will give him a crack this season
