Summer signing ALREADY linked away

Maxwel Cornet is already being linked with a West Ham exit.

The Ivory Coast international arrived from Burnley in the summer but has somewhat struggled for minutes during his time in east London thus far.

He has played nine games in total, but the amount of minutes have been severely limited.

Cornet’s longest Premier League appearance was limited to just 34 minutes, and a report in German newspaper Bild claims there is interest from VFL Wolfsburg in signing Cornet on loan.

He was apparently close to joining Wolfsburg when he left Lyon, but a deal eventually fell through and he ended up moving to Burnley.

Bild makes it clear that there isn’t any concrete interest at this point, but that Wolfsburg would be interested if Cornet were to be made available.

We absolutely can’t see that happening, not just six months after Cornet moved to the club, but it will be interesting to see if his minutes improve in the coming weeks.
