Summer signing spend could pass £70m

The signing of Nikola Vlasic as early as Monday could bring West Ham’s summer signing over £70m – £10 million short of CandH’s early window prediction!.

The Hammers got off to a slow start paying £2.5m to convert Craig Dawson from a loan to permanent and another £2.5m as a loan fee to PSG for Alphonse Areola.

On Friday completed a deal for Kurt Zouma for £26m with another £5.5m of potentials add-ons taking financial liabilities without wages or agent fees to £37.5m.

A deal for Nikola Vlasic if completed will bump that up to £70.5m made up from a £26m transfer fee and £8m of potential add-ons.

The Hammers are still in the market for a loan player which could add another £5m loan fee and if you add agent fees you reach over £80m in summer investments if we sign the two more players.

The wages for the five players could reach £21m per year or around £400,000 per week which equates £55m over the life of their  West Ham contracts.

  1. I remember the stories of a massive transfer budget this summer, as much as 111 million at one point. I think you might have predicted the sale of the likes of Antonio, diop, lanzini and yarmolenko though too to add to the kitty and doesn’t look like we are selling any of them. So 80 million spend is about what I was expecting after including the sale of Haller and Anderson.

  2. About half the TV revenue money from last season……

  3. Wonder how they paid all the wages last year?
