West Ham United are edging closer to securing the signature of Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United.
The Dutch winger has undergone his medical and is on the cusp of completing the move to the London Stadium. However, the player is unlikely to join the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour of the United States.
With the final details of the deal still being ironed out, the club has decided it would be best for Summerville to remain in London and prepare for the upcoming season alongside the rest of the squad.
The Irons are set pay Leeds an initial £25m for Summerville, who scooped the Championship’s player of the year award last term after hitting 21 goals and laying on nine assists, with a further £5m in performance-based add-ons. The Whites are said to have inserted an additional clause into the deal, meaning they will be in line for a further £4m should Summerville earn a full senior cap for the Netherlands.
The Hammers have been busy in the transfer market, and the addition of Summerville will be a significant boost to their attacking options. With the new season fast approaching, the club will be eager to finalise the deal and integrate the winger into the squad as soon as possible.

The days of West Ham having a favoured starting eleven are over. Julen obviously has different ideas of utilizing a bigger squad as the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City do. It’s the way to go. West Ham have never known this before.

Yeah looks a good side to challenge for the European places. Would like another centre back to partner Kilman in defence then would be a perfect team 👍
