Hammers hero Frank McAvennie has cast his vote in the ClaretandHugh poll for the next Hammers manager!
And the legendary Boleyn striker said: “I’d love young Eddie Howe to get it and if he needs a father figure at the club bring in Trevor Brooking!
Frankie is keeping a very close eye on the proceedings at Upton Park and said: “I’m convinced Sam is on his way. Whatever the owners say, they would have given him a contract by now if he was going to get one.
“I’m sure they know and he knows and it looks to me have their heads on their holidays. It’s good that you and other sites are running polls but I’m sure their minds are made up anyway.”
In backing Howe, Frankie declared: “I love the way his Bournemouth team play – real style, real panache. That is the West Ham Way as I understand it – he’d be ideal.
“If the board think he needs a hand they have the perfect father figure in Trevor Brooking – oh yes, I would love that.”
The former striker has been disappointed with a season that started so brilliantly with strike partners Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia doing the business.
He said: “It was great but that ceased when Andy Carroll back and then Kevin Nolan was brought in. I’ve always liked him as a player but he’s lost a yard of pace and i know all about that – you just can’t do it anymore.”
As for Sam, I think it’s time for a change. He’s done what he was brought in to do and now I think the team needs to change, freshen it all up and move on.
“Eddie Howe is my man. He’d get them attacking and bringing the ball back to where it belongs – on the ground. Yes that good man will do for me.”
Oh no,dont blame the return of Carroll & Nolan, lol,he cant say that.Everyone knows that had no bearing on things at all!! Yeah right, ofc it didnt 😉
I wonder how many of the fans would tell Frankie Mac he was talking sh*t when saying this about Nolan & Carroll, those that are so quick to tell others it is rubbish.Matte could you conduct a survey for us complete with a multitude of stats covering all bases, thankyou 😀
Howe got my vote.
Well done Pennsylvania but that does not mean you win its not the lottery,
That it for Frankie Mack on wet pants.com never to be mentioned again add that to his mate cottee and Leeroy and they will have quite a black list,
BFS OUT AT THE END OF THE WEEK
Darn, I thought I was definitely going to win something there. Wish I hadn’t bothered now.
I wonder if you ever watched any of those players in Claret & Blue. McAvennie & Cottee were one of the best strike pairing this clubs has ever fielded along with Hurst & Peters, Keeble & Dick and Jennings & Robson. Leroy was a great striker and professional. I would sooner read sense than continual abuse of Allardyce.
We all agree on this site, but I have not seen Bielsa, Howe, or Di matteo manage, so input from those that know I appreciate.
Lol,bubs wasnt having a go at them.Quite the opposite. He was just saying Frankie Macs honesty wont be appreciated in other circles or sites by saying things went wrong when Carroll & Nolan returned, lol. But dont worry,i got bubs a dictionary yesterday as you were wishing for one for him 😀
DEFENDING BUBS HONOUR,HARD JOB BUT SOMEONE HAS TO DO IT 😀
Young, British, attacking & affordable 🙂
Bournemouth have been playing the best football anywhere in Briton & I would love him to take us forward over the next 10 – 15 years.. Some of the other managers would be a short term 2 – 3 year fix but Howe would be the best long term choice
Never worked with over paid highly strung players who like their ego stroked,
Never had to put up with player rebellion or the pressure he would have from the BFS fans looking for revenge,
Bit like Moyes go to Man U and look how that ended,
I don’t mind give him the chance if his football is entertaining but I don’t have the we must have English at all cost side to me,
I don’t think Klopp or Rafa will be interested so unless we are all wide of the mark and the 2 Daves have someone else in mind the ones in the poll will be the choice.
REPLACE BFS
Thanks Rads, you know I love my work, so I’m really happy to do this fantastic new research thanks to my sophisticated, modern and inflexible (sorry Sam) computer.

My job is my passion… lol
Wasn’t Carroll and Nolan coming back that was the problem. It’s what Sam did to get them back in the team that started the rot
our start of the season was successful due to the injuries to Carroll&Nolan i stand by that statement.
Frank was a legend, used to love watching him play.Always remember being in the North Bank when he came on as a sub in his last game, scored a hatrick against Forest (i think,my memory is awful). We have had many memorable, talented players but Frank was my top man as a young lad watching him.Think it was as much to do with all the hot birds he got as well as his football abilities, lol 😉
