Hammers’ hero Mohammed Kudus has shown that he is not just a hero to the thousands who have seen him perform his magic at the London Stadium. The West Ham United attacker produced some genuinely stunning goals last year which will live long in the memory for those lucky enough to have witnessed them first hand.

But it is clear that ‘Starboy’ has not let success at Ajax and now at West Ham go to his head. The Ghanaian international has remained true to his roots and is now a bit of a cult hero in his homeland.

From beginnings in Colts football at Strong Tower FC, Mo progressed via the Dream Academy in Akosombo. He has obviously not forgotten those times, as he donates each year to his former boyhood club.

In his latest gesture to the club based in his old neighbourhood of Nima, he gifted essential football items such as balls, branded jerseys, kits, and T-shirts.

Kudus, who serves as a brand ambassador for Kivo, also presented some products from the company to representatives of the club. His actions were shared on twitter X:

Apparently, The gifts excited many of the young players, who described the former Ajax attacker as an inspiration. Mo’s former coach Ayuba Joshua, ( the man credited with ‘discovering’ Kudus ) expressed gratitude as did the younger players.

The makings of a wonderful young man as well as a gifted footballer, we’d say. Long may he stay to entertain us in Claret and Blue.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.
