Support for Chelsea midfielder over foreign imports

A majority of supporters have chosen a homegrown Chelsea midfielder as their incoming midfielder of choice over various foreign imports that West Ham have been linked to in the media in recent weeks.

In a Claret and Hugh poll of more than 1,650 supporters over 27% of fans said they would like to sign 22-year-old Ruben Loftus Cheek from Chelsea in the West Ham midfield.

Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho came in second place with 19% of the vote, Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere was third placed with 12.5% of those who voted.

New linked target Felipe Anderson from Lazio could only manage fourth with nearly 12% while last season’s loanee Joao Mario grabbed just over 11%.

PSG Javier Pastore received just 8% of the vote with Danny Drinkwater and James Maddison getting 4% each.

Josef de Souza and Tom Davies polled just than 1% each.

    This guy has guile and panache also a great engine and proved his worth in the premier league……he’s young and up for challenges…albeit he’s not made it into Chelsea’s first team (a hard task anyway) could well be one signing that we could actually get and not for ridiculous amounts of money either …I hope this rumour has some truth behind it as the midfield needs a drastic overhaul …call it whatever you like but we’ve got tired legs in the important part of the park …the middle …certainly one for the future as his talent is obviously there for all to see …
