Supporters kidknap director for move to Olympic Stadium

West Ham’s board will be grateful they are not based in Ukraine when it comes to fans protests.

Ukrainian Ultras stormed the Desna Chernihiv football club’s offices and threw the new stadium director into a wheelie bin in an extreme fan protest.

Oleksandr Ovcharenko only joined the club last week on 18th November but the masked ultras kidnapped forcibly took him outside to the car park.

Fans of Ukrainian club Desna Chernihiv put him in a bin all because he wants to kick Desna out of the club’s home ground in order to build an Olympic Stadium.

Formed in 1960 Desna Chernihiv and have a 12,000 capacity stadium, they were promoted to the Ukrainian Premier League for the first time in 2018.

West Ham Vice-Chairman Karren Brady who oversaw West Ham’s move to the former London 2012 Olympic Stadium in 2016 will glad that West Ham fan protests have been tame in comparison to actions of the East European Ultras.
