Over 30,000 loyal West Ham supporters have already renewed their season tickets already Claret and Hugh have learned today.

Sources close to the ticket office confirmed that the milestone was reached in the last twenty-four hours showing the amazing loyalty of West Ham fans despite relegation to the Championship.

There were 46,000 season ticket holders last season so 30,000 represents 65% renewal rate so far.

The ticket office is forecasting a final renewal rate of between 32,000 and 36,000, which means a renewal rate of between 70% and 78%.

Since moving the London Stadium, the season ticket renewal rates have ranged from 88% to 97% so this will be a record low but not the doomsday scenario some had suggested.

The renewal deadline for 2026/27 Season Ticket Renewal is set for Friday 3 July with existing season ticket holders offered the chance to add additional season ticket holders before the remaining tickets are offered the season ticket waiting list who have paid a tenner.

While tickets are slightly less expensive, and we may have fewer holders, I think we will not lose much money given the extra games. TV money drops but isn’t there still a parachute payment? If players wages, really do drop, that is by far and away the biggest cost saving. Selling unfortunately Summerville, Fenrnandez and a few fringe players plus loan players not staying its a great opportunity to put the finances back in order. We have a number of youth players coming through and coming back from loans- If only the Owners were to chuck in 100m on top we would actually be in better state than currently. The concept of no VAR, and Saturday games all makes for an exciting season with hopefully promotion cheer

Well done to all concerned. To avoid the playing in a half empty stadium prediction within 2 weeks of relegation is absolutely brilliant. Thats likely to end up with about the same amount season tickets renewed than there were seats at the Boleyn. Hopefully there will be an uptake of a few thousand new ticket holders to taste it off the 40k mark. There are very many clubs in the premier league and around the world that would love that kind of season ticket interest.

not loads go for the football.
most I know go to meet their mates, football is an excuse to get out for the day and have a laugh and catch up.
most of the time, the dross football gets in the way of a good day out!

If you’re a fan you will follow them through thick and thin.
Yes the season just gone was horrendous. But better things to come, let’s bounce straight back and show everyone how well supported we are..
I think we will sell out personally

There’s plenty of seats to just buy on the day it’s not getting filled up chances are the top tiers won’t be used,so why buy a season ticket there’s no point

      • Martin61 says:

The reduction in season ticket prices was a factor, it certainly made me renew immediately without mulling it over for a few weeks.
Also knowing that those around me have renewed counts a lot, you build your own mini community with the fans around you which improves the match experience.

      • Steve1 says:

William, the club announced ages ago that the top tiers would not be closed in the event of relegation and indeed thousands of season tickets in the upper tier have already been renewed. The whole stadium will be available.

I’m sure, as you say, there will be plenty of tickets available on a match by match basis but you will certainly be paying a lot more per game than I have paid 🙂.

        • William Ryan says:

No disrespect but purported a maximum gate of 32000 in a 66000 stadium is a pointless exercise, how do you expect to create an atmosphere in a half empty stadium when it was difficult enough with a full one with fans scattered everywhere I don’t get the point

          • Steve1 says:

With more than 30k season tickets already sold why on earth do you think there would be a “maximum gate of 32,000”?

  • Den says:

Our own worse enemy us fans… why would the board need to change anything for the better..the income still comes in regardless.. Sullivan is teflon.

    • George Howell says:

The reality is that the Championship is not so bad. No VAR, no big club bias, better stye of football, less churning of fixture dates & ko times, less media hype, oh and no VAR. The spectator experience might be better than in the overrated, over-hyped PL. Perhaps that’s part of the renewal attraction for some.

      • Steve1 says:

George, hopefully you are wide of the mark with the “no big club bias”. As the ‘big boys’ this coming season I’ll take all the big club bias going 😂.

    • Steve1 says:

Sadly Den, overall the income will not be coming in regardless. The standard estimates suggest that we will suffer a drop in revenue for the season in the region of £100/150m.
