Claret and Hugh readers have been voting in a poll of how many points the West Ham will earn for the remainder of the season. The Hammers have 24 from 26 games with a possible 36 points up for grabs from the remaining twelve games.
Nearly 36% believe that West Ham will earn 9-13 points putting them on 33 to 37 points.
Another 32% say 14-17 points putting them on 38 to 41 points.
A pessimistic 12% say the Hammers will only earn another 5-8 points putting them on a total of 29-32 points.
An optimistic 7% say West Ham will bag 18-21 points putting their season total on 42-45 points
6.5% of readers can see the Irons anymore than the 24 points they already have.
3% say 1-4 points, 2% say 34-36 points with less than one percent for 26-29 and 3-33 points.
West Ham faces Liverpool away, Southampton at home, Wolves away, Spurs away, Arsenal away, Chelsea at home, Newcastle away, Burnley at home, Norwich away, Watford at home, Manchester United away with the last game of the season at home to Aston Villa at the London Stadium.
It is hard to see where those points are going to come from. Theoretically “easy” teams have not been beaten, even when playing at home. And the team does not seem to react once they fall behind.
If we stay up, I’ll believe in miracles again. Who knows … 🙂
