Supporters stadium return petition growing fast

An online petition launched by a football supporter desperate to see fans return to stadiums has received a massive response.

The petition created by Ashley Greenwood asks the Government to allow football fans to attend matches at all levels forthwith and can be found at and signed at https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/552036.

Greenwood says: ‘Football is a powerful tool of which allows a range of benefits such as employment, and other important aspects of life. Football can be associated with passion, emotion, excitement and dedication across the community. With Fans attending football games a range of economic benefits are there too.’

The petition has now reached around 145,000 and is growing fast. In fact, it was last night it passed the 100,000 threshold for the petition will be considered for debate in Parliament.

However, it will need many more names if we are to see the government making any sort of decision in its favour.
