Surgery as Jenks injury diagnosed

|

JenkCarl Jenkinson is reported tonight as having sustained a cruciate knee injury  and will undergo surgery in the next few days.

A Hammers source told ClaretandHugh that he will definitely return to Arsenal where the club’s medical staff will oversee the situation and the defender’s recovery.

We were told: “There’s no way we would be allowed to look after things . On-loan players go back to the parent club in such circumstances as we can only look after bumps and bruises. It looks as though his season is now over.!

Our source said: “We had no idea at all that things were anything like as bad as they have turned out when he left the action on Saturday.

“But after seeing top specialists it’s clear this is a serious injury and there is no alternative but surgery for the player and a return but to return to his parent club.

“Everybody at the club wishes Jenks all the best for a speedy recovery.”

Are we covered by insurance or does the loan finish ?
Wish him no ill but am glad he won’t where our colours again
If he is as badly injured as being reported he has at least shown some fighting spirt as he tried to stay on last week
