Surprise surprise – another Carroll injury

Andy Carroll’s West Ham race looks well and truly run!

Tucked away almost out of sight in Manuel Pellegrini’s post match presser came the explanation ( I refuse to call it news) that he had not been considered for the game in Cardiff yesterday because he has suffered an injury.

The manager said: “Andy was not considered for this game. He has some problem in his ankle, so he was not in the squad.”

Just how many times the guy has had issues with his ankle can’t be counted but with just eight games of the season over there is now little chance of him impressing any potential buyer.

Realistically that was always going to be the case because he has certainly been unable to impress anybody since he returned from the last game and really doesn’t look part of a Pellegrini future plan.

So once again it looks as though he could easily finish the season having made a handful of appearances -14 actually – of which several have been sub.

This is neither option triggering or new contract country and the opportunity of moving nearly £4 million a year off the wage bill is now almost at hand.

  1. What a Bus Man’s Holiday Carroll truly is on! what makes it even worse, IF we ever get around to getting rid we were expecting virtually what we paid for him?? LOL!

  2. Sad, , very sad

  3. Groundhog Day…..

  4. Under no circumstances should he be offered any sort of contact not even pay per play .Get his wages off the books . Invest in the club to grow and challenge in Europe ,EPL and cups . This will generate more income you can’t invest for just1 season if you want to be a big club ⚒

  5. He is one of the worst players we have ever signed considering the transfer fee. No technique no pace no movement. 3 years too late.

  6. Not even worth writing about
