Sutton isn’t convinced by West Ham
Chris Sutton isn’t convinced by West Ham and doesn’t seem too big an admirer. And once again he fails to see us beating the opposition before us on Sunday.
Palace arrive at the London Stadium having won just one of their last six games, lost four and drawn one. However, their record against the Hammers is particularly decent.
We lost both Premier League games against Crystal Palace last season – as many defeats as they had suffered in their previous 14 against the Eagles.
Sutton isn’t convinced by West Ham
They have never lost three in a row against them in league competition before. The good news is Roy Hodgson’s outfit have won just two of their 16 Premier League London derby matches since the start of last season (D5 L9). The bad news is although both of these victories have come against West Ham.
Maybe Sutton has taken some of that into account as he isn’t convinced the irons can take advantage of the Palace slump and says on his BBC blog: ” Crystal Palace’s defeat at Luton means they have lost four of their past five games but it is not as if they have been playing particularly badly. Their 4-0 defeat at Newcastle was the only one of those defeats where they lost heavily. This game smells of a draw to me. It’s just a case of whether there will be any goals or not.”
