West Ham left back Emerson refuses to overly consider Sheffield United’s huge defeat by Newcastle last weekend as a big consideration in today game at the London Stadium.

Moyes ready for 900th game as a boss

David Moyes goes into his 900th game as a manager tomorrow against Sheffield United and by way of celebration has a squad clean of injury.
It’s a brilliant record and probably his high spot is right now as boss of the Hammers where after a great climax to last season we have made a terrific start to this one.
He of course wants a win but is far too long in the tooth to underestimate the Premier League’s bottom club despite them apparently having injury problems.
Nor does he believe there is a big secret for his time in the club which has seen him manage Preston North End, Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad and now a couple of spells with the Irons.
He declared that he didn’t believe there was a recipe for a long term managerial career other than having  an incredible love of the game and  wanting to improve.
He said at the pre-match presser: “I don’t know how many different managers have come into the Premier League over the seasons but you have to keep evolving to keep up and I’m enjoying every minute of being the manager of West Ham.
“I want to say a big thanks to all the clubs and the owners who have given me a chance to manage their teams.
As far as the squad is concerned he added: “We’re pretty much fine. We had a game in midweek and we’re making sure everybody is recovered from that and hopefully everyone is fit and well for Saturday.
“Aaron Cresswell has had a bit of a hamstring injury and he’s not ready yet but he’s coming on well.”

“Sheffield United had a poor result last week, but they’ve done really well to get promoted from the Championship.
