Tearful Slav: “One of West Ham’s greatest games”

HappybilicSlaven Bilic described it as a classic FA Cup tie which will go into the history books as one of West Ham’s great games.

And afterwards as he entered the presser he was close to tears  as he declared: “It was a wonderful victory – a wonderful night.”

He was thrilled that Ogbonna scored the decide saying: “He was magnificent all night long at central defence. It was right he should  get the goal.

“We will be tired because we have no break after Norwich as we go to Blackburn but every bit of it is all worthwhile. We want to progress. It will be tough at Blackburn but I have said before that if we play like that we can beat any team.

“It was a great game of football – a classic Cup tie and it will go into history as one of West Ham’s greatest games.”

  1. …and that completes the treble over the scousers. 7-1 on aggregate and we did our best to make it difficult in true West Ham style! Love it COYI!

  2. Yes, but there was a price to pay with at least two injuries…

  3. Mind you, the poos did everything they could borderline brutality to stop us. I applaud the players for not falling for that bait and getting into fist fights.
And a big ZERO for Klopp and his disgusted handshake at the end of the match. Maybe not such a fairplay guy after all, is he ?

  4. Can we play you every week…??

  5. “Wemberlee Wemberlee”

  6. Great night, we might have ridden our luck a bit towards the end but again Valencia should have won us a penalty to win during normal time, again despite being obvious we didn’t get it, not sure what we have to do to win a penalty these days… who cares we are in the next round, hopefully we can go all the way COYI !!!

  7. Another Ref looses his money even with those really bad decisions,
If we were Chelski or Man U we would have had a new top scorer Noble how many penalties would we have had without bent ( not gay ) Refs he could bein double figures,
It’s every game, yes Valencia goes down easy but no contact means no contact,
He was overturning the Lino from the other side of the pitch, even the pundits who were Scouse based could not believe it,
We need a new breed of breath or Spec savers should be used before the game,
Scores Liverpoor 6 out of 10
    Hammers 7 out of 10
Ref 2 out of Ten must do better or get a new job

  8. Michael Owen has to be the worst commentator on any sport channel. His boring monotone and stating of the obvious grinds me down. Also he could not have been more biased in his view of almost every incident.[ Might have been the Ref’s brother].
