Terms Agreed with Player I Clubs £8million apart

Finally some movement which I have been counting in my head as a ‘done deal’ for about a week. Personal terms – a verbal contract- between West Ham United and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have been agreed. The right back is happy to sign a contract until 2029.

Negotiations go on between the clubs as West Ham have offered £10 million, Manchester United asking £18 million.

The clubs both want this to happen so likely a compromise will follow. Always the player’s misgivings about coming to East London have been the sticking point but it appears the major obstacle has been overcome. Florian Plettenberg at SkySports has just updated on his X account and confirms negotiations between the clubs are ongoing.

Another one edges closer. Main sticking point is now resolved, I would expect a full agreement shortly as Manchester United need to move on with his replacement who is waiting in the wings.

Like everyone else, lifelong WHU fan and season ticket holder in old BMU stand at Upton Park from 2003. Billy Bonds these days with my adult son and impatiently waiting for my Grandson to be old enough to initiate him before his mum grabs him for Man U. All opinions are my own very biased ones.

just meet Man Utd halve way and get this done

It’ll get done, Man U are the driving force so they can bring in their next RB who is sitting waiting..

  • John Ayris says:

Man Utd want to bring Masraoui in and this deal is part of the finance.

Wan Bissaka could stay put drawing 90 grand per week and then walk away on a free this time next year. What’s the cost of that ?

It makes sense for Man U to smooth this move as it’s their most economical and practical option.

We’d be crazy not to be getting the price down under those circumstances, that’s the reality of the situation so the reality of what he is worth.

Why so difficult they want 18 we want 10 …then
Meet in the middle at. 14 mil ……what’s the problem

Just fed up with Man U. Lingard, Maguire, McTominay and now AW-B.

  • Bernard Palmer says:

I presume that 8m shortfall is the signing on fee he wanted when he’s contract runs out and Man U are putting it on the bill and then give it to him when he leaves
