Sky’s Tevez poster set to provoke Blades fans fury!

|

skyA massive billboard poster of Carlos Tevez in his West Ham kit has been slapped just outside Bramhall Lane – home of Sheffield United!

The Yorkshire club is still bitter about the controversial transfer of Tevez that saw the Hammers escape relegation from the Premier League at the expense of the Blades in 2007 – and the poster is sure to provoke a furious backlash from thousands of United fans, who will have to file past it to get into the ground.

The Sheffield Telegraph reports the poster appears to show Tevez celebrating the goal that relegated the Blades.

The advert has been taken out by Sky Sports and features the catchline ‘Sky Sports and the Premier League – 23 years and counting’.

Perhaps this isn’t one of the most sensitive decisions made by Sky in recent years – although it’s sure to give the fans of rival team a good old chuckle!

In fairness most of the Blades fans weren’t bothered they knew they had their destiny in their own hands and blew it, it was McCabe and Warnock at SU, Whelan at Wigan and AlFayed that all kicked up the fuss. It still rankles that we had to pay them so many millions the decision was made the FAPL to give us a record fine and not deduct points because if they had deducted points we would have been relegated and that would have affected the title run in and relegation because we had to play 7 of the top 9 at the time and two relegation rivals, so teh FAPL should have paid them their millions not us!!!

Whats the FAPL ? i googled it and got ‘Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists’ not sure what its got to do with them 😀 😀

  • jetshammer says:

    It’s worth the £5m fine.

What goes around, comes around. We have the last laugh… again…

Get over it Blades…. At the end of the day it wasn’t Tevez (or the rest of the Hammers) who put them down; They had 38 games to prove they could stay up, and they couldn’t. … Simples…..

  • The Ludo says:

Are they going to sue Sky now then?

  • Radai Lama says:

Lmao,i saw this earlier, cracked me up.Either the person who put it up is totally dopey or has one hell of a good wind-up sense of humour 😀

  • essexclarets says:
