Carlos Tevez would accept West Ham retirement plan

Former West Ham striker Carlos Tevez says he would return to the Hammers for six months as it one of the two clubs he loves.

The 36-year-old Boca Juniors striker told Radio La Red: “We’ll see if I retire in December, or if I go to Corinthians for six months or six months at West Ham… I’m going to leave it open, I don’t want to be a slave to my words, after, we’ll see. I think this is good for now, what I’ve decided with my family.”

“In Argentina, I’ll only play for Boca, I’ve always said that. If we talk about Europe, I’d go to West Ham for sure. Even if it’s just six months for them to applaud me.”

The Argentina international moved to West Ham in 2006, netted seven goals for West Ham in 26 Premier League appearances as he inspired a dramatic relegation survival bid during the 2006-07 season.

While in China with Shanghai Shenhua Tevez earned £615,000-a-week deal. Tevez plans to donate six months of current salary to charity saying “I’m going to donate all of my contract, prizes included, to a charity. We’ll pick people that need vaccines, public works, we’re still deciding… We’re going to put it in the contract where the money will go, I don’t want it.”

Whether David Moyes and David Sullivan would entertain a short term deal for a player that turns 37 next February remains to be seen as we are trying to shake off our footballers retirement home image.

Regardless of the viability of this, it makes me proud of our club that top international players like Carlos Tebez, Teddy Sheringham, Ian Wright and many others including the one and only top nutjob Paulo Di Csnio all speak well of West Ham and show affection for the club and fans. COYI

A six month cameo would be brilliant in my view. Top class player.
