If James Tomkins cements his position as first choice right back for the second half of the season, Carl Jenkson will become a costly bench warmer next year.
Carl Jenkinson was unveiled as West Ham’s sixth signing this summer after the right back agreed a new season long loan keeping him a temporary Hammer until 30th June 2016. The 23 year old agreed a new five year deal with Arsenal increasing his wages from £32,000 to £45,000 per week before joining West Ham which we will pay in full this season.
West Ham are also thought to have agreed a £1.5m loan fee on top of his £2.3m in wages.
Despite making 13 appearances and scoring two goals this season in a Claret and Blue shirt, Jenkinson has failed to recapture his form of last season. If he doesn’t regain his right back position we will still need to fork out £2m in wages and loan fee.
I’d play ginge !! We need a war horse against stoke !!!
And yes keep tommo there and keep jenkinson on the bench !!!!
Song must start to sort out shaquiri and co !! I think they will bypass noble with their pace ?
Cresswell will need help so obiang , song and kouyate in a 4_5_1 for me to start and see how we go !!!
Probably be 4_2_3_1 though !!! With noble in the 3 ??
Stoke have pace in MF so will need shutting down quick and give no time on the ball !!!!
Just keep him there don’t move Tomks to cover Reid bring in Ginge or Oxford how’s the time to give Oxford a run and add a bit of class alongside Ogbonna and a bit of speed behind the back 3,
