The man in charge of Michail Antonio’s future is an agent called Will Salthouse who is the CEO from Unique Sports Mangement. Along with Aaron Cresswell, Pedro Obiang and Cheik Kouyate he is Antonio’s agent. His other high profile clients include Harry Kane, Wilfred Zaha, Tom Cairney, Callum Wilson, Andros Townsend and Jamaal Lascelles to name a few.
Earlier this week Ryan Fredericks joined his stable and former Hammer Darren Randolph is also a client.
Football agent Salthouse is good friends with Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish. The interest in Michail Antonio by the Eagles is said to be very real in terms of an enquiry but they don’t come anywhere near West Ham’s valuation.
Salthouse will likely be looking for a big payday in moving his client Wilfred Zaha to one of the top four teams this summer for a massive transfer fee and they could leave significant finances for Palace to pay a proper transfer fee for Antonio earning Salthouse another agent fee.
Antonio remains injured at the moment while he recovers from a hamstring operation. He is expected to return in the third week of August but will need a pre-season before he regains his match fitness.
The point being?
Yes I also heard this information on the Phoenix fm podcast from the itk main source that is also known as Ex whu employee.
It’s interesting When you see some of the players we are linked with like Jermaine Lascelle etc that they are also in the books of this company. A lot of West Ham’s players seem to come from that agent as do Crystal Palace. So It’s easy to see why Antonio is being connected with palace.
The Newcastle defender Jamaal Lascelle is also on their books.
I am not bothered if he goes for a good fee, he lacks end product, he was good when Payet was supplying him perfect crosses but offensively last season aside from injuries he offered next to nothing. I would like to see him find the form of two years ago but failing that a fresh start wouldn’t do him any harm.
If we get in Fredericks plus Anderson and you are playing Arnie and chicher up front then Antonio becomes a bit redundant anyway. Although he would make a great utility player to have on the bench because he can play as striker, left wing, right wing, left back or right back.
