Jarrod Bowen’s importance has suddenly been demonstrated in the biggest possible way given the situation which has hit Hull City since his departure for the London Stadium.
The Tigers cashed in on the January deadline with the wide man joining the Irons in a deal which could eventually amount to £22 million.
The Championship outfit were were in a poor run of form just ahead of his departure but that has accelerated since he moved to the Hammers after notching 16 goals for the Tigers.
Following his departure on Jan 31 they have lost six games and drawn two pushing them down to 21st place – one above the relegation places.
It comes as no real surprise of course because the 23 year old has shown his importance to the Hammers over just four games since his arrival.
He scored against Southampton and hit the post against Arsenal whilst providing the sort of all-action and determined displays which are clearly being missed badly at Hull.
As we know if you continually sell your best players that it eventually catches up with you, it doesn’t matter who you are.
