The curse of being linked with West Ham

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and Burnley manager Sean Dyche are equally under pressure at their clubs after recent bad runs of form.

Since a 3-1 win over Southampton in late September, the Cherries have remained winless except for a 1-0 win over a poor Manchester United side and more recently lost 3-0 to Liverpool over the weekend.

Does that pattern sound familiar?

Burnley got trashed 5-0 to a poor Spurs over the weekend but they are starting to slide down the table themselves. Their most recent wins have come against a poor Watford side who seemed favorites to go down and West Ham who they beat three-nil in November at Turf moor.

Is their recent poor run of results related being linked as possible replacements for Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham?

Have Howe and Dyche got the West Ham curse of self-destruction?

This week Howe admitted he was embarrassed by the speculation but insisted he was not distracted

He told reporters “I am 100 percent committed to this club and I am a little bit embarrassed with the speculation if I am honest after our recent run of results

It’s all sort of come at a bad time because people will then question “has your work been affected by what’s being said outside” but I don’t read all the nonsense that flies around about it, I focus on my players and training. And that is all there is to say on it.”

  1. An out of form Spurs ?? . A Poor Spurs ?? . Are you having a laugh or what !?!? .
We don’t need Howe or Dyche . What we need is that Pelligrini starts to learn something .
But it seems he won’t because he is too Stubborn in his ways . It started at Man City and is culminating at West Ham . I completely fail to understand the shouts for Howe and or Dyche
Both thier respective clubs are in disarray and no different to the Hammers . It is totally outstanding that Pelligrini has lost the plot ,,, he doesn’t understand the fans and the aspirations we have . What was the point of wrecking a good system and team spirit by throwing away three consecutive cup games against lower opposition? . It has nothing to do with injuries or otherwise . The problem is Pelligrini . We can and might beat Arsenal on Monday . Would that be an unwelcomed stay of execution for Pelligrini!!

  2. Spot on Kevin, for flip sake Spurs are in a different league compared to our lot, they have qualified for the next stages of the EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE,( something our club will not see until we have the right people in charge) they have their own stadium, a sense of identity, were 3-0 up against us at home till fatigue set in. How many of our current starting XI would get into the Spuds first XI, maybe Declan Rice on a very good day, otherwise none, zip imho.
They have a manager ( who I dislike intensely, but has won many trophies) Yes they have players whose contracts are up soon but given one summer transfer period and they will be unfortunately out of sight compared to us…Our board, manager are light years away compared to the Spuds..
Get real Sean, unless you are having us on and stirring the pot, if you are good on you, but please don’t compare us to that side in north London…
We are in a right old mess currently, look at their front four compared to us for pity sake.. LOL.
