The depressing facts that speak for themselves

old-trafford-stadium-manchester-unitedManchester United have won 17 of their 21 Premier League home matches against West Ham with just two wins for the Hammers and two draws.

West Ham have not won at Old Trafford for ten years since they avoided relegation thanks to the famous Carlos Tevez winner.

Manchester United have only lost one of their 13 opening-day Premier League fixtures at Old Trafford (W9, D3) – a 2-1 defeat by Swansea City in 2014.

Jose Mourinho has never lost a home match on a Sunday in his managerial career, winning 86 and drawing 26 of his 112 games in all competitions.

The Manchester United manager has also never lost on the opening day of a Premier League campaign (W7, D1).

Romelu Lukaku has scored in seven of his last eight games against West Ham.

West Ham have lost ten opening-day fixtures, more than any other Premier League club.

Bookies Bet365 are offering odds of 11/1 for a West Ham win, the draw is 9/2 from Betway while a West Ham loss is an odds-on price of 1/3 with Betvictor.

  1. How many times have we and other clubs been cheated there by shocking officiating, when DiCanio said that even if he was gunned down in the penalty area by a sub machine gun he “might” get a decision he has been proven statistically and factually to be right, Utd despite conceding numerous penalties that haven’t been awarded have lowest amount of penalties conceded at home in premier league history. Utd are beatable they have a lot of great individual players some
of whom are not great team players, history is there to be made always, we start the match level on points and goal difference with them let’s finish the match superior to them COYI!!!

  2. The past is completely irrelevant. This is a new era.

  3. First time for everything COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

  4. Just don’t put West Ham in your Acca – and hope for the best – sorted!

  5. Sean – you’re not selling an ISA here. ‘Past performance is not an indicator of future, etc.’. New season, new team, new start. Looking up not looking back. Hahaha.

So 3-0 to the Mancs then.

  6. Very tough game and a 5-0 home win on paper. However, take into account the weird results at the beginning of every season and the fact that we have dreams that don’t actually fade and die……… 4-0 home win.
