Total Collapse Leaves West Ham at Breaking Point
Collectively, that was about as bad as it could possibly be from West Ham United.
West Ham’s 3–0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers was about as humbling a reality check as I can remember. If anyone still harboured doubts about just how poor this side is, the answer was laid bare on the pitch at Molineux.
David Sullivan and Karren Brady have overseen the gradual disintegration of this football club, and today’s loss perfectly exemplified their inability to run it.
No Direction, No Fight, No Hope
Nuno Espírito Santo has been left with a squad so devoid of quality and balance that even the Premier League’s worst team looked head and shoulders above us.
However, let’s be absolutely clear. While Nuno has been handed a poisoned chalice, he also appears to have no idea how to steer West Ham to safety. Standing on the touchline against Wolves, Espírito Santo either accepted a 3–0 defeat or was incapable of influencing the game. I am genuinely unsure which is worse, but neither is remotely acceptable.
As for the players, most are either simply not good enough or have forgotten what got them to this level in the first place. Max Kilman either cannot defend or is so shell-shocked and devoid of confidence that he is currently unable to perform at the top level — and he is far from alone.
Which inevitably brings us back to the owners who signed off on the £40m cheque for him.
Sullivan and Brady, just face it — the game is up. You are no longer capable of taking this club forward and, if anything, you are dragging it backwards. Poor managerial appointments and chaotic transfer strategy have left West Ham broken. Do the decent thing and put the club up for sale.
Nuno or any head coach need a small army of people to handle every aspect of the team and it has already been noted that Westham don’t have them . The club is devoid of those essential people and so the task of saving Westham is hopeless under the ownership of BS who just don;t even comprehend the real problem . Westham are not a functional team and so will also fail in the Championship . BS will blame everyone else but themselves and so Nuno may be sacrificed . Don’t be surprised if BS remain the owners as Westham slide down through the leagues . Look forward to playing Dagenham in the 5th tier .
No surprise at the Wolves result.Recruitment is beyond belief.Only one team in the Premiership has a worse goal difference and they are bottom. So what happens let’s go and buy a striker, and rumours say another forward incoming! Are they blind!
Time for empty seats, boycott the shop stop giving these parasites our money and maybe just maybe the will sell up and look elsewhere for their next victim.Although I respect the show the red card thing and the balloons, even the names on paper, in my opinion the only thing that will make any difference is empty seats and I will commit now that mine will be empty until there is change
Sullivan and Brady should never ever be owners of another football club ,they disgust me
No, they should own another football club, ideally Spurs, because they will make the same mistakes and dismantle them structurally and financially too. Going to take us 10 years to get back to where we were 3 years ago. Thanks Sully, Brady, Lopo, Potter, Steiden and Nuno.
My worry is who the hell is going to buy! Rented stadium, poor overvalued squad and financial consequences of relegation.
Less than 3 points against Forest and game is up.
New signings have to be immediately effective too.
Its all a long shot but its all we have!!
SULLIVAN OUT
I have read his contract is 7 years. Most of the time he just strolls around and stares at the sky, is he not well
Who would pay good money for a club that looks destined for the drop.
It’s a downward spiral however it’s looked at.
We have brought two strikers in sharpish but we’re shipping so many goals that alone isn’t going to change anything.
This little run of games could have been our salvation but we seem to have got worse not better, nothing looks up to spec.
Nothing to add, Gonzo, you have just summed it up perfectly.
An hour later and I’m still shell shocked just how bad that was? When Wolves were singing how sheet we are I couldn’t disagree? I’ve seen better Sunday league (seriously). No fight, no direction, no idea? I think we will struggle in the championship we’re in proper trouble. Definitely need a new manager ASAP, and at least 2 defenders. Hopefully Sullivan will put the club up for sale whilst he can still get a decent return, although I hope he goes bankrupt with what he’s done to us. Our poor club and fans deserve better than this. Time to boycott the home games unfortunately, not that we’d be missing anything. Gutted to be a hammer tonight….
Sadly, they don’t care. They’ve never cared. Anyone who thinks they’ve ever cared are delusional.
They’ve only ONCE ever invested their own money into the club when they were forced to do so during the Covid pandemic.
They’ve loaned the club money at extortionate interest rates to profit from it, and they sold the Boleyn Ground, which was then in turn resold, to again pocket the money.
All they’ve ever been interested in is their own wealth; what they can make from the club.
Look at their record in club ownership. They’ve had multiple relegations with Birmingham. They’ve relegated us already, and we’re on course for a second demotion.
They’ve won one third-tier European trophy in over three decades of being in the football ownership game. That’s it!
They’re appalling at football club ownership because:
a) They don’t care, so long as their team is in the PL (which they didn’t have a great track record of achieving at Birmingham).
b) They’re completely incompetent. Utterly clueless. They’re charlatans who made their money in the adult entertainment industry. This is what we’re dealing with here; two bob chancers who’re completely out of their depth.
We’re in an utter mess until they go. It’s that simple.
We got the old ‘Ole Ole’ from the worst/bottom team … shocking. Gonna get some stick at work now…cheers. Happy new year Grrr.
