The Ginger Pele is a wanted man

CollinsJames Collins is today reported as being a wanted man with the new season just over a fortnight away.

Everton been hit by injury to Ramires Funes Mori who will miss most of the new campaign and manager Ronald Koeman has allegedly turned his gaze on The Ginger Pele.

It is also believed that the 33 year old is also wanted by Crystal Palace and Stoke which would leave the Hammers board with a dilemma.

Ginge is in the last year of his contract and would be available at a fee of around £2 million which given his age could be seen as decent money.

And with the Irons having Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Jose Fonte and  Declan Rice available, Slaven Bilic has a tricky proposition facing him.

The club have been talking to Collins about a new deal and want him to stay so the situation is very much in the player’s hands.

  1. I think he will stay, he’s already said he wants to end his career at West Ham.
I don’t think he minds playing second fiddle, purely because he knows he’s getting on a bit now.
As long as he can still make the contributions like he did last season, I see no need to sell.
Let him stay, he’s decent cover.

  2. Don’t forget Burke.
Ginge has been a real warrior, but if he moves on for £2m (ish) it might be to everyone’s benefit.

  3. He is the best defensive defender we have and the best right sided centre back unless Oxford improves this year or Burke/Rice can fill the slot I wold keep him, not only that I would start him most games.

    • I know Oxford is in Germany, looks a bit like I was saying we could use Oxford this year but I mean’t for next year.

  4. Got to keep Ginge.Paper talk i expect, unless he himself wants a move for regular action.Dont see it though. He seems quite happy with his lot 😃

  5. Keep him, he never gives less than 100% & bleeds claret & blue. We need a back up like him at times when our backs are against the wall, he will always put himself between the ball & goal whether he get the ball in his face/nuts he still wouldn’t even flinch. Worth his weight in gold even at 33.

  6. In an ideal world he stays and get on board after this season with a coaching roll or whatever, IMO he is descent back up when all fails , we all love him and don’t want him to go , hard decision for some but you know how ruthless clubs can be!! Interesting one this ! Heart says feckit keep him but the nut says he’s bench at very best purely on pace ☺

  7. Can’t see the money bags Toffees dirtying their hands on a 33 year old from a ‘little’ club. Hit by injuries indeed! They don’t know the meaning of that phrase. Surely they will just go on to Amazon & buy themselves a brand new £30m CB lol. In case it is not obvious that is one club I would love to see come unstuck. Yes pure jealousy!

  8. Love him .
How often do you get 120% out of a player.
    Please stay g.pele

  9. Can’t lose Ginge. And he recently said he wants to end his career here. He has been crucial for us over the years and stepped up huge last season to keep us in line.
Just one year left on contract just offer new deal. Yes he is 33 but reliable and fit. Rather part w Fonte.
