The Hammers can enhance top four hopes against  Brighton & Hove Albion in the first game of 2024 , both coming off impressive victories against North London giants at the end of 2023.

The Hammers can enhance top four hopes

West Ham secured a 2-0 win over Arsenal, denting their title hopes, while Brighton displayed an attacking masterclass with a 4-2 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.

David Moyes achieved a notable away win against Arsenal, ending a 22-match attempt streak. The Irons showcased one of their best defensive performances under Moyes, frustrating Arsenal’s title aspirations.

Despite Arsenal’s 77 touches in West Ham’s penalty area, a Premier League record without finding the net, West Ham secured a 2-0 victory with goals from Tomas Soucek and Dinos Mavropanos.

West Ham’s remarkable defensive form continued with clean sheets against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United in December. Currently in sixth place, they aim to make London Stadium history by securing four consecutive wins with clean sheets for the first time since 1994.

Brighton, potentially dropping to ninth, have struggled on the road with only one win in their last seven away games. West Ham, despite a clean sheet drought against Brighton, won 3-1 in their last encounter in August, ending a 12-game winless streak against the Seagulls.

I think it would be fair to expect a good game tomorrow with both teams vying for Euro  success. Brighton’s impressive attack against Tottenham provides hope, but with the suspension of Dunk and other absentees, we have a real opportunity.
