The genius French midfielder has been given an extended break after his exertions at Euro 2016 but we were told earlier today that he will be back to resume pre-season training next Monday.
Angelo Ogbona – who was on Euro duty with the Italians – was back yesterday and James Collins returned on Frday after his spell on international duty with Wales.
And with Reece Oxford joining the squad in Austria ahead of the Europa Cup campaign, manager Slaven Bilic is getting his squad back big time
The very good news is that there have been no enquiries for Payet who has been at the centre of transfer speculation throughout the summer.
