The show must go on

|

The Premier League will continue and the show will go on!

That news comes after an announcement that half of the Manchester City team have tested positive causing the City v Everton game to be postponed last night.

The Manchester-based team are claiming they were infected in a London hotel when they played Arsenal in the cup.

At the beginning of December, the Newcastle v Aston Villa game was also postponed because of a significant increase of CoVid cases at the Newcastle training ground.

West Ham have had at least four senior players plus David Moyes test positive with the virus and several more players and backroom staff have needed to self-isolate after coming into direct contact with people who have tested positive.

An outbreak at the West Ham Academy and a number of positive cases with the youth ranks have forced Chadwell Heath to close until the new year.

The Hammers have yet to postpone a Premier League game and have soldiered on despite missing several players at different times.

An insider close to the Premier League told us it would take nothing short of a disaster for the Government to relent on its position to ensure the game continues in order to keep the morale of the nation as high as possible in very difficult times.

Sorry to disagree with the majority ( if that’s what is as there are no official figures ) but I believe the season should be abandoned and probably never have been restarted in the first place .

Guardiola is taking advantage of the system imho, Everton have asked for all the details to be released, why on earth a team with more money to spend than almost all in the world and more players at their disposal should need to call a game off with only two confirmed cases is mysterious, we will be worse off because Everton will have had 4 days break before playing us when we have had to play 3 games in 6 days, there should be an open and transparent explanation of how the decision was reached.
