West Ham United today confirmed that Lucas Fabianski and Adam Traore have been released at the end of their contracts, whilst Axel Disasi of course has returned to Chelsea at the end of his loan.
In addition, the Hammers made several ‘releases’ public regarding their academy and junior players:
“Development squad players Michael Forbes, Junior Robinson, Tyron Akpata, Daniel Rigge, David Chigwada and Tom Wooster will also be departing the Club this summer.”
Which left a few observant fans scratching their heads.

Will he stay or will he go…..
No release of Callum Wilson?
It has been long expected that Wilson would be heading back to the Premier League – as we suggested earlier – on the trail of those final five goals to join the Premier League 100 club.
However it seems that Wilson has fallen betwixt and between, and is having a touch of the ‘dithering’ David Moyes about him. According to ITK ExWHUEmployee, the Hammers have not given up hope of keeping him at London Stadium:
“He has a contract offer I believe but he hasn’t accepted it as yet so he hasn’t been released as such but he hasn’t be retained yet either.”
No doubt waiting to see what turns up in his agent’s e mail in box, Wilson is reported to be ‘in contention’ for the striker’s gig at both newly promoted Hull City and Coventry City.
Were those offers concrete, you’d suspect he’d be half way out of the door of this troubled club already. Just a matter of time.
