The View From Over Land And Sea

Our overseas Hammer Paul returns with his first video since the final game against Everton.

It’s fair to say that quite a lot has happened since then so Paul begins with the final game of the season and the subsequent dismissal of David Moyes. He also takes a look at all of the potential managerial candidates and discusses how he believes Manuel Pelegrini will fare as manager of West Ham United.

Our Canadian ex-pat also runs the rule over each of the Irons squad members and suggests who should stay and who should go.

Agreed on the need to have a clear out, and also the names to go, except Fernandes who I still believe has a big future. He never grew much under Bilic, improved greatly under Moyes. He needs more physical presence and aggression. He just needs the right coaching.
Also Obiang should not be our first choice in the defensive midfield position, but might be needed to compete for the position when we get a better replacement.
Byram has been unlucky with injuries, so he might need a year on loan to get up to speed. If he does well in the championship, then he could come back or get sold for better money.
