This Chelsea player won’t be joining Irons

|

Ross Barkley is again being linked with a West Ham  move given the speculation that Villa have no intention of keeping the former Everton man.

But it’s a deal that isn’t going to happen.

Barkley is not what David Moyes wants having overseen the player’s youth and early professional career at Goodison Park between 2005-2013 where he was aware of him as a youth player and later oversaw his early professional years.

Nobody will know Barkley’s on and off field behaviour better than Moyes and he clearly holds no interest in bringing him to the London Stadium.

Chelsea have made it obvious that he is no longer in their plans and manager Thomas Tuchel is ready to offload the 27 year old along with striker Tammy Abraham.

Abraham is clearly of interest whilst Prague’s Abdallah Sima is another possibility but we can put the Barkley speculation to bed once and for all.

It won’t happen given that Moyes clear choice as an attacking midfielder is Jesse Lingard.

You will be dodging a bullet. I can never understand why a player with so much ability as Barkley can waste it with such a poor attitude & application. His initial superb form wherever he has been is always followed by incredibly poor application. Watching him trot around in a Villa shirt doing nothing was infuriating. He will end up at a club like Newcastle next & then drift off down the divisions until he ends up at Tranmere Rovers. What a waste of talent.

I have been watching AV as a neutral (and to keep an eye on Grealish) and have also been stunned by Barkley’s slide in form. Frankly, he was a liability for AV when he shut off.

As a Villa fan I see Ross Barkley as a huge risk in fairness he blew his chance with Villa

On the other hand I do believe that Abraham would be in favour of a return to Villa and on a personal note I would like to see it happen

Don’t want Ross Barkley diving for fouls in West Ham shirt, thank you.

Chelski players I would be interested in, who realistically would be interseted in West Ham:

    Billy Gilmour
    Conner Gallagher
    Marc Guehi
    and Tammy Abraham
