This Hammer needs to be sold

Much has rightly been said about the achievements of this paper thin squad of ours and rightly so!

What hasn’t been pointed out as regularly is what this squad has managed whilst carrying two or three serious passengers.

And that’s the reason Moyes has probably been scared, until there’s no reason not to gamble as he did yesterday, on playing one of two of them very often.

Fredericks, Yarmo, Kral, Vlasic, Masuaku and – he has to be included – Benrahma, who during a highly gutsy performance at Chelsea from various members of the B team managed to  stink the place out and was again subbed.

I was among those who was surprised that the manager let a sale go through which had begin before he arrived at the club simply because the bloke  isn’t a Moyes type at all.

I’m not sure quite what he is given his inability to beat men regularly – surely the mark of a creative PL player – and seems to be easy to read and unable to get on the end of things.

Moyes is now the number one man at the club – his fingerprints are all over the squad.

And it’s for that reason I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised were he to let the guy go if he gets a half way reasonable offer.

For me the fella simply isn’t good enough and whilst we won’t get our money back he needs to be gone.

Kral hasn’t had a sniff and Vlasic has been kept waiting on the back door step whilst the ex Bee buzzes around with little purpose and to no real effect.

  1. I think if a suitable offer came in for Benrahma I would sell too and I would bring in Johnson from Forest as well as the young lad from Hull.

  2. For sure vlasic kral fred masu yarmo and benrahma all must go with noble retiring and for me we only need pope and areola for keepers . Plus 3 quality players and 4 free signings but not Johnstone or tarkoski too dodgy or too old

  3. Would you like custard or cream with your humble pie, Hugh? hahahaha
I’m predicting a 2-0 win for the Mighty Hammers on Thursday with Yarmo and Benny scoring the goals!! 🙂
With a strengthening of the squad well overdue this summer, Randolph, Fredericks, Masuaku and Benrahma have to be the short favourites to be moved on. Plus of course, Noble is retiring, Kral’s loan deal is up, and Yarmo will be handed a free contract when his deal ends before July. (You can almost put money on him signing for the likes of Marseille, Lyon, Seville or Valencia and scoring a few goals next season!)
The summer spending spree will be interesting.
