There are likely to be many gaps in the stands tonight at the London Stadium for Graham’s Potter first home game in charge of West Ham.
At the time of writing there are 5,702 tickets still for sale at the London Stadium for tonight’s game against Fulham.
Technically the game is already a 62,500 sell out and the 5,702 tickets on sale are via Ticket Exchange being season ticket holders who can’t make the mid-week game or simply don’t or don’t want to.
You have to imagine a similar number amount of season ticket holders who won’t make the game tonight but did or could not be bothered to put their tickets up for sale.
Based previous mid-week attendances on cold January nights the real attendance is likely to around 50,000 almost 12,500 lower than the official figure which will be published just under the 62,500 London Stadium capacity.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm with UK live coverage on TNT Sports 4 which perhaps another factor on the low turnout.
Late shift at work ..Otherwise i would be there…Not reselling my ticket because i dont want a tourist or Fulham supporter sitting next to my mate…He is quite happy to occupy two seats tonight..Mind you he is a lump!..:))
Unfortunately that’s what ruins the atmosphere. Empty seats from people who don’t put their tickets on the exchange.
What’s wrong with a ‘tourist’ or a ‘Fulham supporter’. We aren’t at war. There will be lots of opposition ‘supporters’ who are unable to get a ticket by way of their ‘own club’. Many, many ordinary people who are denied the chance of buying a ticket. Maybe we should go back to the 70s and before when we could just turn up at the turnstile and pay cash to get in.
Us ‘loyal supporters’ weren’t so precious in those days.

what a lovely bloke. i lived and worked in London for 6 months in 1991. at that point i’d been an avid WH supporter for 25 years in Australia. yeah, someone from the other side of the world giving a toss about your club in the empirical UK. now, because the class system is still in full effect over there, my wages were such a pittance for the 13 or 14 hrs a day i had to work sometimes, it meant that i couldn’t afford to go to Upton Park and sing my lungs out for YOUR team that i’d pathetically cared about for so long. for some people it’s a life-long dream to see their beloved team play – jost ONCE! lucky for you lot when the Barmy Army come over to Oz that we welcome them with open arms (and laugh along) when they slag us off on our own turf. i’ll be sure to not be showing the same hospitality to you if you ever show your miserable mug on this superior piece of the planet. tourist!
Can’t make the game. Put my ticket on exchange but no takers so far. A shame the club can’t do something like buy the unsold tickets and give them to charity causes, people in the community that can’t afford to buy a ticket or something. Better than having all those empty seats.
Someone should set up a charity to buy unsold tickets from the club and pass them on to the less fortunate.
Bobby Moore got thrown out for sneaking in for free at kick off.
We’re all less fortunate. Need to avoid Hilsborough repeats. Fans expecting to get in for nothing.
Not being funny whi can blame them..a little surprised as its potters first home game…but like me ..list total faith in everything the club does …hopefully potter will bring us back….the transfers not helping…obviously we have to be careful with the money now ..but there is being careful and just plain ridiculous low ball offers …sad times at the min …just hope we win tonight or it will just be more ****ed of fans…maybe buying a top quality striker like they promised a month ago would help….January is always tough ..but again other clubs are signing players ….sad sad times to beca hammer….come on Graham do your magic and win……or make sullivan disappear 🤣
I’m watching on TNT , I’m hoping to see the players work hard for each other . Want to see the never give up attitude and hopefully a win . COYI ⚒
