The Daily Express have wasted no time in suggesting Slaven Bilic has already identified three summer transfer targets.
The paper claims he will make Chelsea striker Loic Remy one of his first targets in a potential £25million transfer spending spree.
French striker Remy, rated at £8m, has become frustrated at being confined to the bench at Chelsea behind Diego Costa and is top of the list of strikers Bilic wants according to the tabloid.
They also say the Croatian also wants two of his old Besiktas players – £5m winger Ghokan Tore, and £8m attacking midfielder Olcay Sahan – to join him at West Ham.
Bilic is currently on a family holiday in Croatia before he formally starts work with the Hammers.
I only heard of the Turkish two yesterday in a who might Slav bring with him type piece. I’ve obviously heard of Remy but to be honest to me it’s Slav’s jigsaw and he’ll get the pieces he can and I trust he’ll do a good job with them getting them to play the right way.
Obviously we badly need good recruits and Bilic would naturally go for players he knows well, he must be allowed to manage in his own way and good luck to him.
As far as Loic Remy is concerned he would be great, there’s a little concern about his fitness but he’s a good player. I’ve heard Dean Ashton on Talksport this morning saying he’d go for Charlie Austin, who would also be great but the fees would hit the budget hard.
It would appear that the Dave’s are prepared to give Bilic the funds badly needed to recruit, we badly need to strengthen the squad, let’s hope he’s given a fair chance.
Gokhan Tore for 5 million would be an absolute steal. he is the kind of player we have missed for a very long time. quick, direct, bags of flair and an eye for goal. still young at 24, and came through the Chelsea academy so should have no problems acclimatising to the premier league. if he came, this could be our deal of the summer.
Think Chelsea would want some sort of swap deal for Enner/Remy. if we got Remy in + 10m, that would be a very good piece of business for us. proven quality for potential quality, plus a nice little bump in the transfer pot.
Agree that could be good business, however Enner in the right structure (not chasing balls out wide by himself) could be very very interesting.
Suddenly the cloud of depression is lifting…..dare I say enthusiasm is beginning to blossom and the world is starting to look a better place….COYI
Still would like Remy and Oscar for Valencia and if the manager like the other 2 the price looks good
Feels so good to know we won’t reject flair players.
