Mark Noble has been handed a long expected testimonial and has sent deeply grateful thanks to the chairmen.
The captain of course has played almost all his youth and first team football for West Ham, apart from two short loan spells, and, at 28, has already made 288 appearances for 33 goals.
He is listed as having started his career at the club in 2000 but was involved as a kid and after signing a new five year deal last summer inherited the captaincy from Kevin Nolan.
And just a few minutes ago – having learned he has been granted his testy by the club he tweeted the news to his 38,000 plus followers.
He declared: “What an honour, thank-you to the chairman for granting me a testimonial for March 28th, blood sweat and tears for this amazing club.”
