Time has run out for Reece

Academy player Reece Burke days at West Ham appear to be numbered as nears a permanent exit to Hull City this summer. It was reported on Sunday night that Frank Lampard’s Derby were ready to hijack Hull’s bid to sign the 21-year-old centre back in a £1.5m deal

Burke has made 15 appearances for the Hammers including five in the Premier League and five in the Europa League but failed to hold down a first-team place.

He spent last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, having previously had loan spells at Bradford City and Wigan Athletic. In 2016 Burke won a total of seven awards at Bradford City’s end of season awards, including the Player of the Year award. The central defender, who can also play at right-back, has been at West Ham from the age of nine and was born in Newham. The youngster is also a big West Ham fan has been known to go to Hammers away games with friends.
