Toffees probably need Championship more than the Irons

Everton are caught up in a financial scenario which will see the Premier League create a body to probe their situation. If things go the wrong way for The Toffees it could lead to a points deduction, the result of which could be catastrophic for them and possibly help us. Here, ClaretandHugh follower THE CAT gives his conclusion on such an eventuality and its effect on the Hammers.

Today Everton, tomorrow, who knows?

Onana

I know owners are obligated to their clubs to be financially responsible, but supporters need to be aware of this also and to keep things in perspective.

I remember the Amadou Onana transfer chase from which we rightly pulled out of (and in hindsight correctly) which Everton won.

I read that Everton were close to financially overreaching with his transfer fee plus wages.

So when The Toffees clinched his signing many of our supporters who had been whipped up into a frenzy by now, threw a big wobbler as it seemed his signing for us was nailed on.

Many of those supporters have probably forgotten who he is now!

It is never nice to wish stuff on a club that you wouldn’t want for your club, but I selfishly feel that Everton probably needs to experience the Championship more than we do right now.
