Tomkins eyes strong start

|

james-tomkinsJames Tomkins is looking forward to the season more than most after a long injury lay-off last season but is wary of two opening home games against Leicester City and Bournemouth.

He warned: “You saw how Leicester finished the season, they will bring the confidence they gained from that and the Bournemouth lads will be out to show what they can do and get off to a good start.

Speaking talking to the official site: “I can’t wait for the start of the season. For me, although it was great to get on for the last game against Newcastle, as I have been injured, it seems like ages since I have played. I can’t wait.”

The last home match against Swansea excites the central defender and he says: “That is going to be some game for everyone associated with the Club. Fans, players, everyone.  We will be determined to send the ground off with a winning result and that is what we will be trying to do.

“It’s an exciting time for the club, making sure we can give the ground a good send-off and then looking forward to the move to the new Stadium, we are all looking forward to it.”

I think Tonks should buy himself a really comfy cushion & pile cream. He is going to sitting on his arse most of the season. Good player but not top 8 player. Need to buy better.
And f##k off with that negativity sh#te..

Both those home games to any top team would be points in the bag,and the right attitude by
Our players would start the season by building a fortress at Upton Park,
With this attitude Tomkins will struggle to get in the Team, with Slaven looking for a new centre half and Reid looking to take over the captains arm band he will be fighting with Ginge to sit on the bench
I still think Pardew will try buying him again he ask,s every year,

The stink of the Hippo is a terrible thing, get Slav at the training ground, open up the windows and let the fresh air in, positive thinking and the new way forward . . .

This is known as hippo hypnosis,it’s victims get their fears and excuses out early. But fear not Doctor Bilic will rid the club of this epidemic,it’s main carriers have been despatched to the wilds of Leyton,Blackpool and Leeds where new cases are probable. Next week the players will be in quarantine and given intensive treatment which will result in a winning mindset and upset when defeat happens.

Lmao, its only June & a player is already wary & warning of the first two teams visiting UP like they are giants of the game.I really hope Slav can rid them of this mindset! 😉
