James Tomkins is hoping an ankle injury won’t rule him out of the “massive” home game against Hull on Wednesday.

Tomkins is under treatment following  Marouane Fellaini’s challenge during the Saturday evening game against Manchester United.

He said: “I felt it was a poor tackle. The referee could have booked him but I don’t want to dwell on that, we were just not good enough.

“The ankle is sore now but, hopefully, I’ll be okay by Wednesday.”
