Tonka: Let’s see caution go to the wind today

|

Ray Tonka Stewart runs his rule over today’s match

We have a good record against Chelsea over recent seasons and this is a London derby where everything goes out the window.

I see a Hammers win and there will be a lot of extra edge today because of what’s gone on in the week which was shocking.

I don’t see David playing it cautiously today – he knows that Champions League football will rely on us getting wins before the end of the season so there’s no room for too much defensive thinking. Could be caution to the win time.

Said Benhrahma is surely likely to play with Fabian Balbuena being left on the bench and with Aaron Cresswell unlikely to be available we’ll see Ben Johnson down that side.

I really like Ben who is a real utility player and can do a job in a number of positions and it’s great that another academy player has come through – that’s very important at West Ham.

The Super League has now been pronounced as dead but they’ve been discussing this for a very long time and I see them trying to bring it back in some form or other.

Once again it needs to be kicked out if that happens and I personally much prefer David Moyes’ idea of Premier Leagues One and Two with Celic involved.

In the meantime it’s all about Chelsea today !
