Top Irons medic gives injury update

|
FeghoulilsTop Hammers medic Stijn Vandenbroucke has given an upbrat report on the returning international players revealing that “we have not suffered any injuries and all  should be available for selection on Saturday against Watford.
Head of Medical and Sports Science Stijn Vandenbroucke said: Dimitri Payet and Havard Nordtveit both played for their countries, France and Norway respectively, in their opening World Cup qualifiers and will have benefited from the game-time after missing the Manchester City game.

They will all return – those above plus Darren Randolph, James Collins, Angelo Ogbonna, Reece Oxford, Cheikhou Kouyate and Gokhan Tore – to training with the squad on Thursday, when we shall all train together for the first time.

Sofiane Feghouli also remained with us as he completed his rehabilitation from a thigh injury and he has been in full training this week and will also be available to face Watford on Saturday.

We have four injured players at present – Andre Ayew, Aaron Cresswell, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho.

Aaron is doing well with his rehabilitation. He has started running and works two times a day with physiotherapist Dom Rogan. Cressy will return to team training in October.

Andre is also working hard in the morning and the evening, he is extremely motivated to play football as soon as possible. We have made great progress and he will get back stronger but the reality is that it will take time.
