Tore deal close: Here’s the finanaces

gokhan-tore-551520West Ham have tonight revealed the club is attempting to put the final touches to a year-long loan deal for Gokhan Tore.

A highly placed source told ClaretandHugh earlier today that the club is hopeful of getting the deal across the line within the next couple of days and speaking to us again a few minutes ago it became clear that a huge package will be involved.

We were told: “Gokhan would be a very expensive loan with an option to buy at the end of the season. It’s a very expensive loan fee and high wages.

“Loan fees for a single season can be very expensive and that’s certainly the case with Tore. Last season we paid £2m loan fees on three  different players but this season the clubs are asking even more !”

ClaretandHugh understands that the fee for Tore is in the region of £5-£6 million and that his wage is around £60,000 a week.

The club have firmly rejected  permanent deal as given the often pedestrian pace of the TurkishLleague they want to be 100 per cent certain that he can hack it in the PL before committing what will be about a £13 million transfer fee.

We have uncomfirmed reports that the Turkish international arrived in the country earlier today for talks with Sullivan at his Essex mansion.

  1. What’s the point of paying so much in a loan fee, just sign him up

  2. If most of the loan fee can be deducted from the total fee next year, then that would be ok.

  3. According to exwhuemployee he had the first part of his medical today and will have the second part including agreeing personal terms tomorrow a 6 – 8 million loan fee which will then be deducted off the final payment should we decide to take him permanently the reason it is so large is because Besiktas need a large sum to not fall foul of the financial fair play rules, he reckons that we are also getting closer to signing Bacca fingers crossed these rumours turn out to be correct.

  4. To me, DS has been v shrewd (again). Tore could turn out to be another Alex Song. I hope that shrewdness does NOT extend to going for donkey Benteke who needs a farmers field of space to score a goal…which he doesn’t get any more and hmmm, guess what, he can’t get in the Liverpool team…
