Tore deal hits snag

|

Rumour raterBilicBesiktas Chairman, Fikret Orman is said to be furious that West Ham has asked for a season loan deal for Gökhan Töre with an option to buy.  A source close to Besiktas told ClaretandHugh “Bilic (has) made a mistake. Our president (has) gone crazy. Bilic wanted to loan Töre”

It is claimed that David Sullivan isn’t entirely convinced that Tore is worth the £13m Besiktas want for him and as a compromise West Ham would prefer to loan Tore for a season in a try before you buy agreement similar to the Lanzini deal last season.

Tore admits he wants to play for West Ham and reunite with his former manager, last week he said  “I have a contract until 2019 with Beşiktaş. But I completed my mission here. If you get my fee, I want to play at West Ham”

We understand that a £2.3m bid for Atiba Hutchinson was also rejected by the Besiktas chairman for being far too low.

If Mr Orman hadn’t tried to up the fee in the 1st place, the deal would have been done.As for hutchison I think they are very lucky to get any money for a 33 year old.Again, a chairman who thinks his players are better than they are!!

That’s a bit naughty if it’s true(?) , Its a bit like someone asking to Loan Cresswell for a season with a view to buy ! – Come on West Ham buy him he will be good for us !

I think it is us getting our own back, the player wants to come so now he should ask for a transfer which means he forgoes his share then they get that little bit more and the deal can go through,
To many greasy people about,I am sure he will get better wages with us so he will be compensated,
If that’s not good enough push through the Ritchie deal which is cheaper and you know what you get for your money,
    Redmond will be cheaper,

Simple fact is they want more than we want to pay, there is an impasse so we offered and alternative, nothing fundamentally wrong with that. However the real inspiration I think is that Tore is no longer a must have now that we have signed an alternative already and the caves clearly want to get a top striker(s) over the line before committing that sort of money on a player who will be a bit of a risk coming from that league. So I suspect that this is something of a delaying action as much as anything depending upon how and where other deals are done. While I would like to see Tore here, 13mill is a lot of money to risk and thus not something to be committed at this stage especially if it prevents us from getting a 20 goal plus stoker in. There are priorities to consider.

Spy, what is the alternative ? Feghouli plays the opposite wing to Tore who predominantly plays on the left, we might be trying to sign an alternative (Nolito) who is obviously a higher profile player and that is why the Dave’s are trying for a loan deal ? If we can’t sign Nolito then Tore would be a great option, he has good feet often makes the right passes and can score goals, he also provides cover for Payet so we have greater strength in depth on the left side.

I don’t believe this is true for a minute. We want him, more importantly Bilic wants him and if the manager has the say on transfers then go and buy him. I would be slightly concerned if the chairmen are not prepared to back Bilic, I think they have to, all along he has said he wants Tore. Ok the price is big but we have got two players in on free transfers, no fee involved. Lets pay them the fee it still represents great value.
