Besiktas Chairman, Fikret Orman is said to be furious that West Ham has asked for a season loan deal for Gökhan Töre with an option to buy. A source close to Besiktas told ClaretandHugh “Bilic (has) made a mistake. Our president (has) gone crazy. Bilic wanted to loan Töre”
It is claimed that David Sullivan isn’t entirely convinced that Tore is worth the £13m Besiktas want for him and as a compromise West Ham would prefer to loan Tore for a season in a try before you buy agreement similar to the Lanzini deal last season.
Tore admits he wants to play for West Ham and reunite with his former manager, last week he said “I have a contract until 2019 with Beşiktaş. But I completed my mission here. If you get my fee, I want to play at West Ham”
We understand that a £2.3m bid for Atiba Hutchinson was also rejected by the Besiktas chairman for being far too low.
