The Leeds United winger completed the first part of his examination without a hiccup yesterday at Spire London East Hospital (formerly Spire Roding Hospital).

Upon completing today’s test, the Dutchman will conclude the final details on his move to the London Stadium. West Ham play Crystal Palace in a friendly match at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, in the early hours of Sunday but it’s uncertain if the winger will attend.

The original plan had been for Summerville to travel to the U.S. and join pre-season training. However, he may now remain in the U.K. if today’s formalities are not completed in a timely fashion.

Summerville has already spoken to Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui at length on the phone ahead of his transfer.

The final package for the player is expected to be £25M with an additional £5-7M in added extras based on appearances, league position, and international call-ups. Summerville should sign a five year contract with the Hammers, however the inclusion of an option to extend may be one of the small sticking points although it’s unlikely to be am issue.

He should compliment Bowen and Kudus marvelously..
good age, pacey, and still plenty of scope for improving further.
    Great signing

    Summerville a great fit.
Wan-Bissaka taking Too long probably won’t happen.
Still no definite Centre Forward! Lots of smoke and potential targets that just don’t want to come.
    Just hope Mikey stays fit!

We will look back and say, Summerville was the outstanding signing of the rebuild window. It is a hard gig finding a player who can command the left wing with pace , flair and determination. The left side has been our nemesis for years, weak as a kitten and equally exposed, our foes have reaped the spoils from our weaknesses.
On to a striker, then sure up that left side.

Not a bad price for an almost 23 year old with Premier League experience with two years contract to run. The add ons only get paid if there’s achievement.
