The great transfer merry-go-round has continued this morning with the Hammers again being linked to former England stopper, Rob Green.
Sky Sports News is quoting insiders at West Ham, and say the club is to step up their interest in QPR’s Green in a bid to liven things up for No1 ‘keeper, Adrian, who is currently sitting out a three-match ban.
As Hammers fans will know, Green spent six years at the Boleyn – where he was a popular figure – before his move to Loftus Road in 2012.
But Rangers’ financial woes mean the west Londoners are now looking to offload high earners like Green – and with Huddersfield’s promising ‘keeper, Alex Smithies, 25, set to join QPR for £1.2 million, the door looks as though it’s open for Green to move on.
Whether that means West Ham comes in for him remains to be seen.
But one thing’s for sure, everyone at ClaretandHugh wishes Green the best of luck this season – regardless of who he is plying his trade for in the coming months.
I think we should go for Green. Be good competition for Adrian too.
I would take Greeno back no problem. He was excellent in a rubbish QPR team last year.Valdes is on about 70k a week at Utd,we aint going to match even close to that for a second choice keeper 😉
Sign Dan Bentley, one for the future (on top of another one for now 😀 )
I think a move for Valdes off Man U who do not want him would be better,
World class player and got 3 years left at the top, maybe loan till Xmas would be good,
